MORE ABOUT SCHOOLHOUSE ROXX...

SCHOOLHOUSE ROXX is currently accepting submissions from bands, musicians, guest curators, comedians, dancers, directors, performance artists, and other innovative talents. We highly encourage artists (and more specifically, bands and musicians) to propose concepts for a fully staged event that encompasses their unique creative vision. Please note, however, that all SROXX engagements must incorporate live music while seeking to expand the boundaries of live performance (that's our mission, after all). SROXX focuses on bringing together artists from various performance disciplines--whose work shares similar visions--in order to create unique fully-staged events every week. Nightly performance slots may vary in length from 1-90 min. for musical acts, and 1-30 min. for non-musical acts. Serial formats and excerpted works are considered, but all performance forms are accepted. Quick set-up and strike is advisable, but not mandatory. A willingness to tailor ideas to producer's needs can be a BIG plus, but also not mandatory. Propose what you feel is appropriate. New work is encouraged.
